Stained Glass Trees
Second grade students were taught how to draw trees using the letter y. Students learned what a silhouette is and used it to divide their canvas into sections of stained glass. Students learned how to blend colors with oil pastels. They learned that colors close together on the color wheel produce nice blends, while colors far from each other on the color wheel produce "Poop Colors". Students had to be extra careful when working with the pastels not to smear their work.
